| "Twenty years ago, when I
had nothing to my name, I was taught by a multi-millionaire how to
set goals and achieve them. The crazy thing is, some people knock
you for it, but when you apply the process properly it continues to
work for you. It's happened for me time and time again. This car is
just another example. In brief, it started with seeing the car...
followed by the picture... and then keeping the picture available to
remind me of what I was shooting for (pictures are essential for
clarity of past events).
You
mustn't chase a goal, you must work towards it... and they have an
uncanny way of appearing, just like my car.
The initial picture, shown right, was taken in October 2004. I
subsequently test-drove a different Mercedes-Benz SL, and for over a
year and a half I focused on my goal...
It worked! I had finally earned the money and could afford my
dream car.
I looked all around the country for it, however I couldn't find
it — but I kept focusing on my goal.
Then, in November 2006, I had a sleepless night, so I got up at
around 3am and made a cup of tea. I went into the office and decided
to have a look on the Internet. What did I search for? The Mercedes
SL, of course!
Well,
this car appeared, and it was my dream — and more. A Mercedes-Benz
SL500 in metallic blue, with light-grey leather interior and AMG
accessories... at the right price.
I could not believe my eyes. But... it was miles away, up in
Lancashire, and had probably been sold already. I logged the
details, went back to bed, and the first thing I did when I got up
was call the garage... and it was available! The rest is history.
Never give up on a goal, it may just pop up and surprise you!"
